    The Monroe Community Awards has gotten a face lift. The Monroe Community Awards has a new name that better suits the focus of the night.  

    The Monroe Chamber of Commerce has some amazing businesses that rarely receive the praise and recognition they deserve. The Chamber Business Excellence Awards provide that platform for recognition. Please join us for this great event that highlights all that is good about our business community!

    Deborah Knight, our City Administrator discussed the city’s efforts on getting Highway 522 completed. There is a great video on http://finish522.com/ describing the effects not just on the drivers but the communities and why we need to all work together to help push for this highway to be completed. Your voice is important and we are asking everyone to sign the petition and contact their legislator to ensure they are aware of how many of us are ready to see this done.

    So excited to announce that Monroe has a new Resource Center! St. Vincent de Paul is expanding. They don't just manage the Thrift Store, they now also have a huge Resource Center and Community Room.
