The Monroe Visitor Center will have paper copies of the event flyer and passport available throughout the month and during the event.   We will also host a few vendors in the community room to encourage more visitors to check out the VIC.

The flyer and passport will also be available on and our social media pages.

The Monroe Chamber is proud to host the Paid Sick Leave Law Overview (Webinar). All Chamber members are invited to join us for this viewing in our office without any distractions.

This webinar is presented by the Department of Labor & Industries, you will learn about the new Paid Sick Leave Law requiring employers to provide paid sick leave to most employees beginning January 1, 2018. This class will provide an overview of Initiative 1433, which changed state law regarding minimum wage, ensuring tips and service charges are given to the appropriate staff, requiring employers to provide paid sick leave, and protects employees from retaliation for lawful use of paid sick leave by the Minimum Wage and Labor Standards Act (chapter 49.46 RCW).

Workshop is designed for all businesses with Washington employees.

The Chamber is only organizing a viewing of this event so we can actually take the time to watch the webinar in a space where we won't be distracted by coworkers or regular business.

Event Dates: May 29 -September 4th (Every other Wednesday)

Time: 3 pm to 7 pm

LOAD IN/LOAD OUT: Booth set up time is NOT permitted before 1 pm on market day. Vendors are also not allowed to start tear down until 7pm.  All vendor spaces must be cleaned out by 8:30 pm.

Speed: Vendors must adhere to a speed of 5mph when entering or exiting the market for loading.

Load in: Occurs between the hours of 1 pm and 3 pm on market day. All booths must be set-up and ready to begin selling by 2:45pm. Arriving late may mean you have to park outside the market area for unloading and carry supplies to your booth.

Load out: May only occur after 7pm. Vendors will be loaded up and shall leave the site no later than one hour after the market is closed. Pack out what you brought in. (no garbage left behind, canopies taken down, etc.)

Space Assignments: standard stall space is 10x10 feet. Double stall space is 20x10 feet.

Primary Guidelines: Keeping your booth and the market clean! The market is located at Galaxy Theatre's in their parking lot. Vendors must keep their space clean and attractive during market hours as well as cleaning up their space after the market closes. Including but not limited to: sweeping up debris from your booth and removing trash.

Vendors using disposable paper products are to bring a sufficent garbage can. All vendors should bring a broom and dust pan. Flower and Farm vendors will be asked to put a tarp down in their work area to prevent grinding of flower or floral material into the concrete.

ALL vendors are required to haul out their own trash. The market trash & recycle bins are for customer use only. We want to keep our community clean for everyone! A FINE of $20 will be assessed to vendors who do not adhere to these guidelines.
